its so sad that people who claim to be christians slander other religions such as Mormons. I am not mormon but your terrible, non christian like judgments and ridicule of them made me realize that Satan must be your God not theirs. I happen to have friends who are Mormon and a lot of what you say (I know a lot about their beliefs) is not completly correct and the rest of what you said is down right slander. Please be kind to people of all religions isn't that what God would have you do?

Have you truly read and understand the precepts of the Mormon religion? Do you truly understand what a "cult" actually is?

Until you find answers to these two questions, perhaps it would be wise if you held your council until you DID find the answers to these and even more questions that you will discover in your "research".

BTW, I strongly agree with David with his assessment of the Mormon religon. I also have had personal dealings with them. They are extremely good with subtle and misleading statements of what they really stand for.

I was impressed with the fact I was dealing with a "groomed witness" when I tried to nail the Mormons I was discussing with just who "this Jesus really and truly is". It was as though they had been groomed by an attorney in just what words to reply with. They and the JW's react in much the same way on this precious subject.

Oh, and another thing, be sure you truly understand the definition of "slander".

I agree with Bob. What is 'slander?' What is Mormon doctrine?

There are a lot of very nice and well-intentioned people within the Mormon ranks, however the doctrine is satanic. Most Mormons do not even understand the whole of the Mormon doctrine, much like many who are in other denominations do not understand their own churches doctrine. And then there are those who are feeling so 'safe' within their beliefs that they refuse to acknowledge the TRUTH of the unbiblicalness of the Mormon doctrine. They often say: 'so what?' 'so what if none of this lines up with Scripture? It seems right to me.'

While you are 'not impressed' by what you've read here, those who know the Holy Scriptures and who trust Christ Jesus as their Savior would do well to learn the Truth and then about the false doctrines which abound in our day.

I find it interesting that you say that 'we' have made 'non Christian like judgments.' [sic] That you would take the time to malign godly content and the intentions of those who seek to know THE truth and to educate other Christians...shows your character.

It is in their nature to attack themselves and each other. That is the Christian/Islamic/Jewish way.
...the names of all the gods have been known in Egypt from the beginning of Time. Herodontus, The Histories
....To be godless is probably the first step to innocence. To lose the sense of sin and subordination, the false grief for things supposed to lost. "Blood & Gold"
The kingdom of God is within you and all around you. It is not within buildings of wood or stone. Split a piece of wood and you will find me. Look beneath a stone and I am there.

Why? Are we lying? How so? Slander suggests all that. Prove it.

Hi Kay,

Welcome to the forum.

I agree with Bob and Amy that you should post some specifics.

You are a little bit harsh and general in your attacks and accusations.

David

What we 'attack' is false doctrine.

Having not read the original "slander" "attacking" on Mormons, I cannot comment on that. However, the comments made in this thread are very interesting. For instance
" There are a lot of very nice and well-intentioned people within the Mormon ranks, however the doctrine is satanic. Most Mormons do not even understand the whole of the Mormon doctrine"

I would like to emphasize that last part. Both my husband and myself were members of the Mormon church when we were younger. We can testify to the fact that they are a deceived people, lost sheep wandering without a shepherd. Jesus came for them, just like He came for us. Now, there are some, in the upper ranks, who do know the doctrine and it is a cult, it is satanic, because whatever is not of God is of the devil. The Bible says if you are not with Him, you are against Him.

Therefore, we have no reason to be against most of the Mormon population, rather, we are called to pray for them, to reach out to them, to show them the love of Christ so they can come to know the true God and they can be with Him in eternity. And, as with all false doctrine, we are clled to genlty restore them to the truth. We cannot convict them of their misplaced belief, only the Spirit can convict them, but the Sprit can use us to plant the seeds. We must make ourselves available to the Spirit, to be used by Him.

I spent quite a few of my early years in the Mormon church their teachings are blasphemous at best, the world likes them because they are nice, neat and by their standards not offensive, they cause no waves and rock no boats, other than not drinking coffe or tea when was the last time you saw them at the forefront of anything that mattered.

Hi Strings17,

Excellent Post!!

Not only do Mormons not stand up for moral issues they now are in support of homosexual marriage in that once marriage becomes anything to anyone the Mormons believe that they will be able to reintroduce the very unbiblical and antifamily practice of polygamy.

God Bless you,
David
